The big down side is that they are not paying me nearly what I’m worth, nor what the position is worth. It’s a salaried position, but I’m basically getting paid $10/hr. That’s just under $21K/yr and I’m ideally needing $36K (it’s what the job at The Rock was going to pay). I definately can’t get my own apartment and I’m wondering how I’m even going to pay my bills.
I do get health benefits and stuff after 90 days, so that’s good, and the position has a LOT of opportunity for growth and advancement if I do well and I know I will. I feel like I’m a good fit for the position and vice versa. I’m just disappointed because the amount of traveling that is going to be involved means that I won’t be able to take ANY classes this semester. Not even night classes. I’m going to see if I can salvage one or two, but it’s going to be tough.
Anyway, like I said, I really felt like I had to take this job, even if it’s not paying enough. I’m just hoping that this is really what God wants for me. We’ll see, right?
